Everyone should read this!

This was posted on a website called Liberty Maven on 12/13. It explains how s.510 was passed in the senate. It's even more diabolical than I thought. I wish I had money to donate to all of these websites. The article is called: Understanding Congressional Trickery

It asks for donations to the project linked below. I think the project (whose website I will also post below) is worthwhile and we should support it however we can to put some fixes back into government.
Downsize DC

I am SURE that somehow what Congress is doing with this tax bills and hiding other bills into empty "shell bills" that have already passed when they were something else, is UNCONSTITUTIONAL and against the law. I hope watchdog groups everywhere are trying to stop these travesties based on legalities. At this point that is our only hope to stop or overturn s.510./H.R. 3082. To ensure that this doesn't keep happening, that the public is properly notified a week in advance with the full text of any bill or resolution, and to make sure our congresspeople actually READ the bills they vote on, Downsize DC seems a good place to start and from what I've read they seem to be nonpartisan; but I would have to know more.

However, along with downsizing what doesn't work in DC, I disagree vehemently with anyone that says we don't NEED federal government. Our population and its distribution, as well as distribution of resources, is good argument that we DO need federal government to be sure that states aren't gutting their natural resources and that people aren't starving to death, that people aren't censored and things are fair nationwide. I don't see how abolishing all taxes is going to fix the huge dichotomy between the richest 1% of people and the rest of us. No, we need the feds, and the money to fix the incredibly complex problems facing us.

In order to earn the right as "We The People" to shape the government of the United States, we have to exercise responsibility by educating ourselves, and realize that the whole myth of republicans vs democrats and the ensuing hatred and name calling they incite in us, to divide us and pit us one against the other,is all just a shell game and we won't play it anymore. Then we can effect change.
